A large 1920s original Swiss lithograph poster for the Grand Ball Travesti at the Carlton Hotel in Geneva in black, white and pink, printed by Fretz Freres, Zurich.
The event was a dinner dance held on Monday, February 11, circa 1920 which we think was a performance of Avant Garde marionettes (Poupees Modernes = Modern Dolls). In any case, the poster is drawn with great wit and imagination and is a rare, interesting example of poster art.
