A rare original 1919 Swiss lithograph exhibition poster for Swiss and Javanese (Indonesian) batik textiles held at the Craft Museum of the City of Zurich, signed C.R., an artist whom we are researching. The poster depicts a beautifully rendered, stylized Javanese woman putting on a geometrically printed batik wrap with the word Austellung (Exhibition) drawn at the top and, in German, at the bottom the title of the exhibition Swiss printed textiles and Javanese Batiks, the Craft Museum of the City of Zurich 16 February to the 6th of March 1919.
