A 19th century Gothic Revival armchair in carved walnut armchair in the manner of Daniel Pabst, Philadelphia, circa 1870s, newly upholstered in Holland and Sherry turquoise velvet. Inspired both by Japanese design and English gothic ornament, The crest rail is decorated with circles and trefoil cutouts flanked by carved circular elements. decorated with worn gilded leather trim. With its sculptural, graphic lines, this chair is strikingly modern looking in its design.
