An antique English bobbin one hour hourglass sand timer. Crafted from original antique bobbins and spools which were used to wind thread in Victorian cotton mills, the bases bear the impressed original marks of "LD & Co" and are trimmed with steel flanges. The hourglass has an approximate one hour run time and measures approximately 13.5 inches tall and 6.5 inches diameter. With its large scale, good patina and hand made elements, this hourglass makes a beautiful decorative object.
